In today's society media plays a major role in every one's life, their actions and way of life they choose to live. If you ever really notice the kind of girls that are really famous and everywhere are more of the skinny, clear skinny, model type girls. This girls are more of anorexic, they are pressured to go into a body that is unhealthy and amazingly thin, into pure bones. This is in magazines, TVs, adds, shows, movies, etc. and the most getting affected by this is the teenagers who are put in the spot where they want to follow the trend of what the media perfection is and risk their healthy to be as thin as some of these models.

Much of these pressures lead to many health problems and trauma. Some are even lead to suicide because some don't feel that they are pretty because of how other people may see her or her herself doesn't see the beauty that the media shows. These pressures are not only on teenage girls, but as well on teenage boys. With the pressures that men are seen muscular and strength. Boys as well go bulimic and anorexic, because they want to follow the perfection of Wat the media shows is a perfect boy or men. Like the girls some lead to suicide because they don't believe they reach the perfection in a men's body. To be a model their are limits to everything, how tall, how thin you must be.

  5. Thank you Brigette for bringing up
a good point, guys aren't often in the
discussion of body pressure. If you research
    eating disorders for guys there
are some suprising stats on us. (: We do
have pressure but not as straightforward
like for girls, I'm guessing its because
guys have privileges like being above women in society (patriachy). Sometimes I do feel pressure in being a certain way but then again I'm not pressured because society lives in a box, and I like going crazy (you know me & I think half the world knows this).
